About This Screening
Basic Full Body MOT
The Basic Full Body MOT is a foundational health screening designed to assess the function of your major organ systems through a single venous blood sample. Conducted at our City of London clinic by a registered nurse, this panel analyses key biomarkers across liver function, kidney function, lipid profile, diabetes risk, thyroid status, and iron stores.
This screening is appropriate for adults of any age seeking a routine health check, those establishing baseline values before making lifestyle changes, or individuals who have not had blood tests within the past 12 months. It provides a broad overview of metabolic health and can identify early signs of conditions such as anaemia, dyslipidaemia, impaired glucose regulation, or organ dysfunction — often before symptoms develop.
Key Highlights
- Assessment of major organ function
- Early detection of metabolic abnormalities
- Baseline establishment for longitudinal monitoring
- Diabetes and thyroid function screening
- Cardiovascular risk assessment via lipid profile
The panel includes a full blood count, which evaluates red and white blood cells and platelets, alongside a comprehensive metabolic profile. Fasting glucose and HbA1c are included for diabetes screening, while a full lipid profile assesses cardiovascular risk. Thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) is measured to screen for thyroid dysfunction, and iron studies including ferritin help identify iron deficiency or overload.
All samples are processed by a UKAS-accredited laboratory. Results are reviewed by our clinical team and delivered confidentially. If any values fall outside the expected range, our team will contact you to discuss appropriate next steps, which may include further investigation or referral to a specialist. This screening does not constitute a diagnosis — it is a screening tool that identifies areas warranting further clinical assessment.
The appointment takes approximately 15–20 minutes. The price is all-inclusive, covering phlebotomy, laboratory analysis, and results delivery. No GP referral is required.
