Not sure whether composite bonding or veneers are right for you? A Trial Smile lets you see, feel and photograph a temporary version of your proposed new smile — fitted over your own teeth, with nothing removed — before you decide on any treatment.

How the £250 Works

One clear fee. It pays for your dentist's time, the design and the fitting — and it comes off your bill if you go ahead.

01

Pay £250

Book your Smile Design consultation. The fee covers clinical time, records, design and Trial Smile materials.

02

See & decide

View, photograph and feel the preview. Ask for changes. Take as long as you need to decide.

03

Proceed = £250 off

Go ahead with bonding or veneers at St Paul's and the full fee is deducted from your treatment invoice.

If you choose not to proceed, the £250 is non-refundable. Treatment prices are confirmed in writing before you commit to anything further.

Your Smile Design Journey

Four steps, two short visits, no surprises.

Step 1

Consultation & records

A GDC-registered dentist examines your teeth and gums, takes photographs and a digital scan, and listens to what you would like to change. If anything needs treating first (decay, gum disease, bite concerns) we tell you at this stage.

Visit 1 · 30–40 mins

Step 2

Bespoke smile design

Your dentist plans tooth length, shape, proportion and shade against your lip line and face rather than a template. You review the design and ask for changes before anything is placed in your mouth.

Between visits

Step 3

Trial Smile fitted

A tooth-coloured temporary material is shaped over your natural teeth to reproduce the design. No drilling and, in most cases, no anaesthetic. You see the result in the chair and in daylight, and take photos home.

Visit 2 · 45–60 mins

Step 4

Decide in your own time

Go away, look at the photos, show family. If you go ahead with composite bonding, composite veneers or porcelain veneers with us, the £250 is credited in full against your treatment.

No deadline

What's Included for £250

  • Clinical examination by a GDC-registered cosmetic dentist
  • Digital photographs and intra-oral scan
  • Smile design tailored to your face, lip line and shade preference
  • Trial Smile placed over your own teeth — nothing drilled or removed
  • Time in the chair to view, photograph and adjust the preview
  • Written, itemised treatment plan with fixed prices
  • No obligation to proceed

Who Smile Design Is For

  • Anyone considering composite bonding, composite or porcelain veneers
  • Patients planning a wider smile makeover
  • First-time cosmetic patients who want certainty before spending more
  • Nervous patients who want a reversible, low-risk first step
  • Patients weighing up bonding against veneers
  • Those seeking a second opinion on a plan from elsewhere

Not right for everyone

  • Active gum disease or untreated decay — these are treated first
  • Significant bite or alignment problems that need orthodontics
  • Under 18s (cosmetic treatment is generally not advised)

Your dentist will tell you honestly if Smile Design isn't the right next step for you.
