About Dr. Mirfendereski
Dr Siavash Mirfendereski is a GDC-registered Specialist in Prosthodontics — the branch of dentistry concerned with restoring and replacing teeth with crowns, bridges, dentures and implant-supported restorations. He brings decades of clinical, academic and advisory experience to complex restorative cases at St Paul's Medical & Dental.
He completed a Masters in Gerodontology with Honours at the Royal London Hospital (1993–1995), with a thesis on a six-year continuing study of the history of root carious lesions. He went on to lecture part-time in Conservative Dentistry and in Oral and Maxillo-Facial Surgery at the Royal London Hospital (1995–2002), and has served as a visiting lecturer in Restorative Dentistry at the University of Florence, as well as an honorary clinical teaching fellow and honorary associate clinical professor at Warwick University.
As Dental Advisor for the London Implementation Zone (LIZ) project within the Tower Hamlets Health Authority, Dr Mirfendereski visited dental practices to assist with treatment planning and support dentists with complicated prosthodontic cases, reporting to the Royal London Hospital.
He has served as chairman for three years, and is now a board member, of a UK body dealing with issues relating to teeth whitening. His wider professional activity includes dental consultancy for Chelsea Football Club, acting as dental advisor for Damien Hirst's diamond skull 'For the Love of God', and contributing articles to a range of dental journals.
