It is important to understand that serological tests have a window period — antibodies may take several weeks to develop following exposure, and testing too early may produce a false-negative result.
If your syphilis test is reactive, our laboratory performs confirmatory testing automatically. However, all reactive results should be reviewed by a qualified clinician who can assess your clinical history, stage the infection, and prescribe appropriate treatment. Our clinic does not diagnose syphilis stages, prescribe treatment, or provide clinical interpretation beyond delivering your laboratory result.
