Why Choose an IgE Blood Test?

No need to stop antihistamines

Unlike skin-prick testing, blood IgE results are unaffected by your usual allergy medication.

One sample, hundreds of answers

A single blood draw can screen for everything from peanut to pollen — including the 300-allergen ALEX³ test.

Component-resolved diagnostics

Advanced tests identify the specific allergenic proteins involved, helping distinguish true allergy from cross-reactivity.

Safe for sensitive skin

No skin exposure to allergens — suitable for eczema-prone or reactive skin, and for those with a history of severe reactions.

Impartial, diagnostics-only service

We don’t sell treatments, injections or supplements — our only service is the test itself, so you receive objective lab results and impartial advice.

How It Works

Convenient for the Square Mile: we're a 2-minute walk from St Paul's station and minutes from Bank, Blackfriars and Barbican — early appointments from 8am fit around City schedules.

Private Allergy Testing Near St Paul's

Allergies affect around one in four people in the UK, yet many Londoners spend years managing symptoms — sneezing, itchy eyes, skin flare-ups, digestive discomfort — without ever identifying their triggers. Laboratory IgE blood testing gives you objective answers, whether you suspect a food allergy, hay fever, a pet allergy or a reaction to insect stings or medication.

Our nurse-led allergy testing service in the City of London offers everything from single allergen tests (from £48) to the comprehensive ALEX³ Allergy Explorer, which screens around 300 allergens and allergen components in one sample. Because testing is blood-based, there is no need to stop antihistamines beforehand and no skin exposure to allergens — making it suitable for eczema-prone skin and anyone with a history of severe reactions. Please note we test patients aged 16 and over.

Unlike many private allergy clinics, we are strictly a testing service. We do not provide allergy treatment, immunotherapy or desensitisation injections, and we don't sell supplements or follow-up treatment plans. That independence matters: because our only product is the test itself, we have no commercial reason to over-interpret your results or recommend courses of treatment you don't need.

Results should always be interpreted alongside your clinical history: a positive IgE result shows sensitisation, not necessarily clinical allergy. We provide clear, GP-shareable reports so you can take the next step with confidence — whether that's allergen avoidance, referral to an allergy specialist, or simply peace of mind.
